Bridge Driver Motor Repair
The Ohmsett staff disconnected one of the two 500 HP DC drive motors that power the drive system that moves the bridges along the length of the tank. A crane lifted the motor on the east side of the tank off its mountings so that it could be transported to a local facility where it will receive much needed refurbishment.
Dielectric Fluid Recovery with Sorbents Test
Using the BSEE-Ohmsett developed sorbent field-scale test protocol in the Ohmsett high bay, BSEE investigated sorbent efficacy when exposed to three (3) categories of Dielectric fluids used in offshore wind farms.
Training with Skimmer in Oil
What is the best way to prepare personnel for responding to oil spills? By providing hands-on training with real oil! During training, participants participated in equipment demonstrations and hands-on skimming exercises with real oil.
