Ohmsett is the premier training site for spill response personnel. From the private sector to government agencies and industry, Ohmsett has been awarded the responsibility of training the best of the best.
We provide first responders with the most realistic hands-on training available, enabling a rapid and efficient response to an actual spill event. Using a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on experience recovering real oil (not a surrogate), participants can increase proficiency in deploying equipment as they practice removing spilled oil in calm and harbor chop wave conditions, as well as analyzing skimming performance after collecting and measuring recovered oil.
Training sessions can be configured to meet your specific needs. Hands-on training sessions are available with or without classroom instruction, or a hybrid response setting where the oil spill response team communicates with a remote incident command system (ICS). Tank training can be conducted using your equipment. Contact us about custom designing a class for you!
